ST XTA COILOVER KITS
ST Suspensions develops the ST XTA coilovers for drivers with particularly sporty ambitions. With the adjustable damper setup of KW technology and the adjustable aluminium unibal top mounts, the handling can be extensively adjusted. The highlight of this version is the aluminium unibal top mounts, which allow the camber and also the caster to be adjusted.
The adjustable damping characteristics of ST XTA coilovers allow the damper setup to be further adjusted individually. The damping technology used for this comes from KW. It allows the ST XTA coilovers to be adjusted to be firmer or more comfortable, depending on the driver's wishes. The dampers are adjusted at the upper end of the chrome-plated piston rod. If the tensile force is increased, the car will track even more accurately and the body movements will be reduced. If a more comfortable damper setting is required, the adjustment is also made via the rebound adjustment. The adjustable dampers also allow for the change to a different wheel size. But even in the basic damper setting, a vehicle with an ST XTA coilover kit is significantly more agile and offers sportier handling characteristics than a standard suspension.
Easy variation of lowering
As with all ST XTA coilovers, the continuous adjustment of the lowering is done via the threaded spring plate. ST Suspensions also uses a polyamide adjustment spring plate, just like KW, which allows easy adjustment of the lowering via the trapezoidal thread on the galvanised strut. Changing the lowering is also possible when installed, by simply turning the adjustment spring plate up or down. If the car has a non-wheel-guiding double wishbone suspension on the rear axle, the lowering is adjusted via the ST Suspensions rear axle height adjustment. For information: the lowering is different for each vehicle due to its design. While older vehicle models such as the Honda Civic (EJ9) can be lowered between 40 - 75 mm with the ST XTA coilovers, the already very low Audi S3 (8P) ex works can still be lowered by 10 - 40 mm.
KW Engineering: exclusively for ST suspensions
The high-quality ST XTA coilovers are based on the twin-tube damping principle in low-friction and pressure-resistant damper housings. The dampers are manufactured directly at KW. A monoblock guide and sealing package reduces friction in the damper when the chrome-plated piston rod is inserted and removed. In addition, optimum corrosion protection and multiple sealing of the galvanised strut ensure long driving pleasure with the ST XTA coilovers.
