How to choose the right OZ rim for your vehicle?

Dimensions and compatibility

The first step in selecting an OZ rim is finding the right dimensions for the respective vehicle model. The size is specified precisely, for example 18x8, 19x8.5, or 20x9.

Diameter and width must match the approved specifications of the vehicle. An incorrect dimension can lead to problems in the wheel arch, contact with brake components, or deviations from the technical specifications.

For many vehicles, 18-inch rims represent a balanced combination of comfort, stability, and everyday usability, while larger dimensions are often used in sportier setups.

Width and offset - crucial parameters

In addition to the dimensions, rim width and offset value (ET) play a central role. The offset value determines the position of the rim in the wheel arch – i.e., closer to the suspension or further towards the fender.

Even small changes can significantly alter the position of the wheel. If the offset value deviates, a difference of up to ±5 mm may be technically possible, but only if all other parameters comply with the approved configuration – especially width, diameter, and PCD.
