Akrapovic Complete Exhaust System

This Akrapovic exhaust system is made of high-quality, lightweight titanium, resulting in a weight saving of 34.2% compared to the AMG Performance exhaust system. The fully sandblasted exterior is complemented by a new tailpipe design made of hand-crafted carbon fibre with a titanium inner sleeve. Compared to the Mercedes-AMG GLE 63 S Coupé with AMG Performance exhaust system, a power increase of 6.3 kW (8.6 PS) and a torque increase of 21.3 Nm, both at 2,800 rpm, were achieved on the Akrapovič test bench. There are three flaps controlled by a specially developed control kit: one on each side of the silencer and one in the active X-connection in the connecting pipe to create a perfect sound experience. The housings for the valves, the X-connection and the reinforcement - or centre column - of the tailpipes are all cast in the in-house foundry. The result is a pure, deep and unmistakable sound that sounds full-bodied at idle and transitions into a defined, powerful growl at higher speeds, leading to a high-frequency, sporty sound. No remapping is required during installation. An optional Akrapovič Sound Kit is also available to gain full control over the sound spectrum emitted by the exhaust.
